I thought, wait a minute, yea we do, it just sucks and is time consuming to get to. I mean, think about it, how many times have you jumped into cat to cower? I've done it a few times actually. Often enough that I should make a macro for it cause while it dumps only a small amount (will check out how much when realms back up) it's been enough to get me off the top of the aggro list so I can continue to heal.

What really got me excited though was the idea that with the 2.3 patch's use of /cancelform, jumping into cat to cower might become alot quicker to do and therefore, of some practical value. Maybe it just appeals to my enjoyment of shapeshifting. I'm definitely one of those druids who like to play multi-role. Being able to respond to the situation, improvising is what I like to do. Makes sense seeing how in RL I'm an actor at heart/soul and various other body parts.

...and, oh yeah, Tranquility! I LOVE that spell! I've got more than a few stories of it saving a wipe. There's nothing sweeter. Ok, you don't know me very well, or at all really, so you'll have to take my word for it - drama follows me everywhere. I subsist on drama. If it wasn't in my life, I'd have to create it. Oh wait! That's what I do!

Recently, before the kernel panic, I abruptly left the guild I'd been leveling my main with since the teens. I was looking for a guild that ran instances. That was it. Loved my guildies but they weren't about getting to endgame content. When I got the chance to join a friendly raiding guild, I jumped. Without any preamble, which was a mistake. Silly me thought that it wasn't a big deal, especially since my level 42 shammy was also in the guild, I'd get to see everyone anyway.

Whoops! I quit the guild and all my sensible reasons didn''t amount to worm spit. Folks were angry with me and when I tried to talk to them and explain - I got shunned. It felt terrible, I stopped playing for a couple of weeks. When I did log on again, it was with a lot of trepidation and then...kernel panic. Karma is a bitch.

Last night I saw my old guild leader was on and I sent him a tell. He responded and we ended up talking and he even came to my side of town and helped me with a quest. Turns out that he took my departure seriously and merged the top members of our old guild with a new guild. He says they're into pvp (play a lot of battlegrounds), that they run instances as well and would I like to join?

So that's my quandry. Do I hook back up with most of my old guildies who I've enjoyed playing with for over a year or do I keep courting the new guild and know that I'll be raiding soon?

computer woes

I had a forced withdrawal from WOW the past two weeks. Initially, it was painful. No shakes, but every time I passed the computer I had to check to see if it was still crashing. I've got an iBook that usually is incredibly reliable. Until it started blanking my screen with a message that said I had to power down.

Turns out my baby was having a kernel panic. Most people have no idea what that is and the people that do know have offered high degrees of sympathy all of which convinced me that I was screwed. Nonetheless, I hunted down the reason for it like a mother...well, like a mother.

Found it too, my airport card was causing the disruption. So for right now I've got it turned off but still have to figure out how I'm gonna swap in a new one. o.O I'm using the ethernet connection til then and enjoying being able to play WOW again. Halfway to 68 and flight form! (For all of the jealous, I still have to pay 500+ in gold for the riding skill :p

who the ... ?

Who am I? Sharing it may actually be funner. Besides, there has to be someone blogging who isn't an expert, just a player. Someone who's over 30 (by alot!) and has had babies.
